Without sounding morbid "Death Camp Fantasy" is ultra-dynamic. Try it on your speakers!

I squeezed two loud listens in today and still haven’t fully wrapped my brain around all of it. My early faves are Death Camp Fantasy, Psychoactive, Six Wave Hold Down and Having Another?— probably in that order. That will probably change tomorrow. And again on Wednesday...

So, so good. Different enough to keep it interesting but still sounds like only they do. I was lucky enough to catch them in November & am luckier still to be seeing a couple of their Midwest shows this weekend/next week. The November show at Middle East was one of the best shows I've seen them play so if you have a chance to see them play, go. GO, GO, GO!

I got the album today. It's punk as fuck. I'd heard the songs they've been playing live, but the whole thing is terrific from start to finish. Really great stuff.

Speedo confirms another 2 LPs were recorded, next one out in January. Huzzah!

Ya know? I always take a pinch of salt with everything I hear from the mighty SW@MI, I can never really tell if he's goofing around or not, but this seems genuine!! More Hot Snakes? I'm up for that.... God damn!

This is my instinct too.......but, SubPop does seem to do a lot of 3 LP deals....

My hope is for a 5 LP deal, 3 Hot Snakes, 1 Jehu, 1 RFTC. Get that big disco money going to the boys. After all I'm pretty sure Sub Pop is just costing on all the $$$ they made from TAD's 8-Way Santa back in '91.

I believe Catt Butt's 'Journey To The Center Of' remains Sub Pop's highest-grossing LP to date, actually.

Jokes aside, SubPop has put out a bunch of cool records from new artists the last few years. I personally feel that SubPop is coasting less on their 90s catalog than some other labels are (cough, merge, cough) even if the SubPop 90s catalog is likely more lucrative overall

I was more making fun of Cat Butt.

I agree. Mudhoney, Metz, Obits, Pissed Jeans, Unnatural Helpers (technically on Hardly Art, one of Sub Pop's subsidiary labels) + the U-Men reissue late last year ... all great shit!
