"Unfun - Shallow Graves" 7", black vinyl/300. Its a co label release Drunken Sailor Records and Not Shy Of The DIY

Get it at here
http://drunkensailorrecords.bigcartel.com/ or http://www.notshyofthediy.co.uk/

listen to it here
http://unfun.bandcamp.com/

Don’t be fooled by the name, this band is a party…

Fucked up, drug induced, hate filled, sludgey pop-punk from Vancouver, B.C given the ran-over-by pick-up-truck treatment. Sounds like Crimpshrine/Cleveland Bound Death Sentence/OWTH/D4 with an overlay of guts and disco.

The drunk man said “This band’s cool, maybe this is what Kurt Cobain was trying to aim for with Nirvana but then he got too shit at taking drugs” 7″ is being released to coincide with their European party tour in April where they’ll get semi-naked and pretty intoxicated on cheap cider, weed and whatever else with Pudge and Teen Rebel Dopefiends.

Go see them on tour this week and next in the UK

Out now on Drunken Sailor Records, Leeds finest 'The Magnificent.

http://drunkensailorrecords.bigcartel.com/product/the-magnificent-1981-7-300-white-vinyl-drunken-sailor-records

Awesome new 7" ltd to 300 on white vinyl

The Magnificent are a punk rock trio from the North of England. They sing about stuff that affects their lives. Important things like coal mining, Royal Weddings, the decline of modern civilisation, cutting down trees, playing squash and being in love. Their sound has been compared to Pinhead Gunpowder, The Replacements, Billy Bragg, The Clash, Rancid, Stiff Little Fingers and Lee Press-on Tattoo's.

The Mags started in 2007 and the current line-up is Matt (guitar, vocals), Jimmy (bass, vocals) and Charlie (drums). Their first LP 'Pay The Crimes' came out on Boss Tuneage in 2009. Since then, they’ve had the pleasure of playing with some of their favourite bands; Leatherface, Hot Watery Diarrhea, Fest 9, forgetters, D4, The Bomb, Snuff, Chuck Ragan, Noise By Numbers, Bangers to name a few.

‘1981’ comes out on April 29th 2011, the day of the Royal Wedding. The new single was recorded in Chicago with Jeff Dean (from the Bomb) in November 2010. ‘1981’ is a song about how a generation struggles to emulate the feats of their parents, ‘the baby boomers’. Everyone is poor these days and everyone struggles to meet the cost of living. The song is about being born into a world ruled by economics that no-one truly understands or has control of.

Also in the store, Tiltwheel 7", Young Leaves LP and Unfun 7"
Thanks!

Exit Condition are incredible (though I prefer the Reverse songs on that particular split 7"...). I really want to order this, and i probably will at some point, but this is a bad month for trying to buy records. Hope I don't miss out. Really a killer band, people should check it out.

Usually I stay out of threads like this, and I don't click links (nothing personal, I posted my own band's stuff here some time back and I don't expect anybody to click it) ... but anyway. I checked out Unfun today, and man. Right the fuck up my alley. I feel 17 again, but more beer and smoke soaked. Ugh. Rock and roll!

Have pre-ordered the Exit Condition LPs, one the the true unsung greats of the early 90s UK scene.

Would be great if they did a batch of those Pushead t shirts to celebrate. Used to love that image.

I could speak to Richard, but I have a feeling there may be a problem with Pushead giving the go-ahead!
I get the tests tomorrow for the first album, so if they are good to go, hopefully the start of november.

And cheers for the order!

These are now ready to ship, the first in a 3 LP series on Ltd Red Vinyl.
Exit Condition originated from Stoke On Trent in the late 80's, UKHC/ Pop Punk/ Metal, there is little bits of all these styles in their music.
For fans of Leatherface (their debut LP, Days of Wild Skies, which remastered, is the 2nd LP in this series, is 2nd only to Mush from that era for me), Poison Idea, early Snuff, Mega City Four, Adolescents.

This is a co-release between Drunken Sailor Records and Boss Tuneage, I don't really have a lot left after the pre-order.
It's turned out awesome, the sleeves and inserts look great, most of all it sounds brilliant.
This includes their first 7" which was on Pusmort.
