Hey,

Just had an email from Sjockfestival confirming Rocket from the Crypt for a little Belgian rnr festival in July. Might have to consider a roadtrip from the UK to make up for ATP.....

Gories, New Bomb Turks, Hookers, Zeke and more...

Fun festival if anyone is thinking of attending. Went there back in 2009 for Oblivians/Gories/New Bomb Turks/Untamed Youth/Turdonecro.

Second stage is purely for Rockabilly type acts.

Plus the cleanest (manned) toliets I've ever experienced!

The festival is literally in my backyard. So I'll be there for sure on Friday! (no camping though)

If anyone wants to tag along, you're more than welcome!

PS: here's hoping Mick Collins will join the stage to fill in the 'whoo yeah's on Born in '69!

If anyone UK based on the Board is thinking of taking the trip across to Sjock we've got a couple of spaces in a car for the Dover to Dunkirk ferry. Basically doing it as a 24 hour trip - leaving Dover mid-day Friday and coming back midday (or early afternoon) Saturday. PM for details.

Euro tour kicks off today... post updates here if you're going to any of the shows... I'll be at the Munich show in a SW@MI tshirt, making 'drinky-drinky' signs to the barman cos I don't speak any German.

Yesterdays show at Sjock was heaps better than the previous festival concerts of Rocket I've seen. For some reason they always shine better in smaller venues.

But yesterday great energy, lots of dancing and to top it all off a guest appearance by Mick Collins during Born in '69. He completely fucked up his backing vocals, which made Speedo fall on the floor laughing. But Mick redeemed himself when Speedo handed him his guitar to finish off the song. Fucking perfect!

Also epic outro with Come See, Come Saw!

Yep, I got the impression Mick might not have heard that song since he recorded it! Great fun though, and to be fair he was having a pretty hectic day doing the Gories/Dirtbombs double. Smashing little festival and an amazing line up.

Thanks to drinkingwhite (and Dale!), for the lift!

Munich was a blast - I'd never been before and it's a beautiful city. It was a great show in a tiny venue, Just the most fun.
